Letters on Sight
I have loved reading since my mother read to my sisters and I each night at bedtime. She took us to the public library often so that we could give my father some quiet while he was working to advance his academic studies. Stories, adventure, words, paper, illustrations, plot, the setting and the ending have always fascinated me throughout my life. As an author of more than 60 books, I realize that it all starts with the alphabet. Learning the alphabet at age 4 literally transformed my life. I could have skipped putting this book together for generations to come but I couldn’t resist putting the alphabet on paper. Strategically, the letters are not in order. I’ve seen too many little ones learn the alphabet song but do not know or can make the sound of each letter on sight. My hope is that this book opens up a world to you from the letters, to eventually words, to paragraphs, to chapters to an imagination not limited by space and time. Let’s start where it all begins with the alphabet, Letters on Sight.
